Lady Gaga has done it again! The singer known for her artistic and avant garde style of dress wears a totally unique and stunning outfit to the annual Amfar fundraiser in New York City this February: topped with her face covered in beautiful pearls!
Her outfit was all white, with a beaded white cap and jacket. She also wore beaded and sparkly short clothing. This outfit was certain to capture many envious looks – especially those who noticed that Lady Gaga wore pearls in such a unique and interesting way. In today’s beauty products some do indeed have pearls in them. It’s not a complete surprise that Lady Gaga would take the beauty of the pearl and apply it directly to her face in this way. As women have been using the pearl as a beauty supplement for their faces – whether they have realized it or not.
Pearls on the face are a very unique look – but also remind us of their original use for centuries. Men and women have treasured pearls for their value and considered them rare and lovely. Pearls have been an expression of love and sentiment between the giver and recipient. So to cover one’s face with pearls might be to say, “I am a rare treasure!” or “I am lovely!” It is to capture to essence of pearls and to bring this even closer to yourself. What an innovative and creative idea for Lady Gaga to bring forth – especially for a charity event.
One might wonder how she kept these pearls firmly on her face. An adhesive would need to be gentle enough not only for her lovely skin but also to maintain her pearls. As we know pearls need gentle care. But what a unique and stunning effect Lady Gaga has created as she has worn pearls on her face! And how much attention she has captured – especially from pearl lovers as she stepped out on the red carpet wearing her unique pearl fashion style, created just for her. Who else but Lady Gaga could come up with such a creative and outrageous look with the loveliest of pearls?
Lady Gaga is known for being a bold and beautiful singer with a vibrant style. With her delicate features, long blonde hair and her expressive eyes it is easy to see how she could easily compliment many fashion styles and looks. Visitors to Qatar’s Museum of Islamic Art can enjoy a special treat – the exhibit “Pearls” opened earlier this week. According to GulfTimes.com, the exhibit was introduced by HH Sheikha Mozah Nasser al-Misnad and numerous high-profile guests who had travelled from around the world just to be at this special and once-in-a-lifetime event.
The MIA will show a lovely exhibit, ‘Pearls’ available from January 30th through June 5th. According to The Peninsula On-line: Quatar’s leading English Daily, the exhibit will feature more than 500 pearl objects including well known pearls such as The Hope Pearl and the Pearl of Asia. This exhibit in Quatar is intended to be both for education as well as the pleasure of the guests – as they see many stunning pearls and fine pearl creations from across the centuries.
